Race Diary

ARCSC Winter Series 21-22 DF65 & DF95   Nov-Mar

We have separate race days for 95’s and 65’s. 95's on the first Saturday in the month, 65's on the third Saturday. Race days will commence at 11am and run 3 hours or a minimum of 12 races.

Where we have up to 6 sailing one race officer will be appointed who can also sail. For more than six, a race officer needs to be agreed and they will not sail. Ideally the Race Officer role can be shared around with perhaps, self-nomination, before the day anticipating numbers.

Should there be 15 or more attending then we will race in two fleets A & B with a 4 up and down promotion and relegation. By necessity this will limit the total races to a minimum of 6.

The Race Officer and/or a committee member will conduct a race briefing before the start of racing.

The course set will be at the discretion on the Racing Officer or by general consent. The course will reflect the conditions and anticipate 12 races in total including any breaks.

After the first race there will be a 5 minute pause. The race officer can finish competitors yet to finish on the course with their consent.

After race 3 there will be a 10 minute comfort break.
After race 6 a 20 minute break for refreshments.
After the 9th race a 10 minute break.
No race will commence after the finishing time.

Scoring will be by HMS 16. One score discard from 4 races. Two score discards after 8. Three after 16.
