The club will not meet during this lockdown and hopes all our members keep safe during this current phase of the pandemic.
Email to Members 21/8/20
Dear Member,
You will have received a recent communication from the MYA issuing guidelines to clubs and members for a return to competitive racing.
This is, of course, necessary due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the restrictions government have placed on all our gatherings.
Should you not have received this email you can view it at https://mya-uk.org.uk/mya-coronavirus-news-and-guidance/
In line with this guidance the ARCSC committee has met remotely and agreed our Return to Competitive Racing Rules document which henceforth will apply to all our club gatherings and members sailing at Dovercourt or Alton Water.
This document is attached and you should please read and adopt the provisions within, ready for when next you come to sail with the club.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reply to this email or speak to any member of the committee.
These rules and guidelines follow the social distancing and hand sanitising practices in line with government guidance. As a club we require you to have your own hand sanitiser for use at all times.
This does mean that we can confidently pick up full competitive racing in the near future. More on this in the next few weeks when we are sure the new rules and guidelines are working effectively.
Even with the best efforts of the club we must make all participants aware of the increase in transmission risk associated with partaking in even socially distanced sailing activity. All participants must be clear that they are opting into participating in this activity at their own risk.
These new rules will also be posted on our social media sites and our web site www.arcsc.co.uk
I very much hope to see you all sailing at some point in the near future. I do understand many of you will be shielding for some time to come and we’d welcome your participation remotely. We have an active WhatsApp group you can join if you let me know. There is also our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/arcsc/?ref=group_header . Our website now includes a build and sailing tips page which will be updated regularly.
Until next we meet. Please keep safe and well!
Kind Regards
Malcolm Price
